The Story of Suzanne & Frank: Fall Fun

We had a fabulous fall with lots of fun activities! Nicholas is at such a fun age to take out and about and really enjoys the little things. We went to festivals, birthday parties, apple picking, pumpkin picking, a ferry ride and hiking! Here are some photos of the highlights:

National Book Festival on the Mall with Laurel

PBS had a great toddler/kids tent with live music, hand muppets, stickers and tattoos! Nicholas and Laurel had a ball and especially enjoyed the music groups.

Lukas Iarossi's 3rd Birthday Party - Lake Accotink

Our friend Lukas had a wonderful Cars themed birthday at Lake Accotink. They grilled, the kids rode the merry-go-round and everyone enjoyed a bunch of 3 yr olds trying to hit a pinata! It was hilarious! Luckily there were some older kids there who finally popped it open.

Any birthday with a carousel is a big hit!

Apple Picking at Homestead Farm in Maryland

Homestead Farm was a great place to take toddlers apple picking. They had a petting zoo area, plenty of low hanging yummy apples and a hayride out to the pumpkin patch! We met up with the Hamilton and Peter-Smith families and Nicholas had a ball with friends Laurel and Bea.

Cox Family Farm

We made a return trip to Cox Farm this fall and as always it was a cheesy festival of fall fun! We rode the giant slides (this year Nicholas was even more daring than last!), ate fair food, picked a pumpkin and went on "spooky" hayride. It was HOT this year, but the kids had a ball.

Mommy's 35th Birthday

For my birthday, we took a water taxi ride across the Potomac from Old Town to the National Harbor for brunch at the Gaylord Hotel. We met up with Laurel and Bea and even though it was mommy's birthday, most of the day centered around the kids. It was a beautiful day and Nicholas loved the boat ride.
